The University of Holistic Theology is the educational branch of The Holistic Church of Mind, Body and Spirit, INC. The mission of University of Holistic Theology is to provide quality higher education with a holistic emphasis for adult individuals whose goals are to obtain certifications and degrees in Hypnotherapy, Religion, Counseling, Psychology, Natural Health, and Metaphysics.

Distance Learning

Distance learning at University of Holistic Theology offers a convenient alternative to campus-based education.  U.O.H.T. gives motivated adult students the freedom and the tools, at a cost far below the tuition rates of most colleges, to:

With our non-traditional program, students need to be self-disciplined and self-directed.  Each student needs to be able to work without the structure of a formal classroom.  You work at home, using specially prepared materials.  The up-to-date books of study selected for the University of Holistic Theology are considered to be the finest available.

1.       Learn At Home

Classroom lectures can be valuable as a way to learn - but they are not the only way.  These days many people earn advanced degrees by taking distance learning courses and doing independent study.  Some mature students are simply too busy with work and family commitments to go back to college. 

University of Holistic Theology academic and administrative processes is carefully designed to overcome this problem.  You can complete all requirements for graduation on a correspondence basis in the privacy and convenience of your own home, without disrupting your professional and personal life. Credits may be awarded toward your degree for previous related studies and life learning upon evaluation from the University. The University does offer workshops, seminars and various classes to complement the home study curriculum

Open Enrollment Policy:

The open enrollment policy at University of Holistic Theology allows students to begin their studies at any time during the year.  Graduation may also take place at any time during the year pursuant to completion of all academic and financial obligations.

The unique nature, totally non-residential, of the University's degree programs makes possible lower tuition than traditional residential universities.

College Certificate Programs

Our Online College Certificate Programs are designed to provide for 12 semester hours of credits in a specific discipline and focus of study. Our online course are self-paced and can be taken from anywhere in the world. Graduates are awarded a College Certificate in the specialty. Programs are available in a wide array of disciplines, by online distance education.

Experiential Degree Programs

Our Online Experiential Degree Completion Programs offer accomplished individuals the chance to have experiences, knowledge and skills acquired and other educational program completions to be translated into college level credits. Transfer credits often apply to provide individualized curriculums for degree completion, along with validated life experience credits. This innovative program is one of the few available today in distance universities.

Continuing Education Programs

Our Continuing Education Division offers highly affordable courses and programs for those wishing to pursue education with the goal of a degree or certificate. We also offer courses and programs for professionals that can be used for mandatory education requirements by facilities or professional boards. College semester hour credits are earned for each course.

Mission Statement

1.  The name of the institution includes a religious modifier or the name of a religious patriarch, saint, person, or symbol of the church.

2.  The institution offers only educational programs that prepare students for religious vocations as ministers, professionals, or laypersons in the categories of ministry, counseling, theology, education, administration, music, fine arts, media communications, or social work.

3.  The titles of degrees issued by the institution cannot be confused with secular degree titles. For this purpose, each degree title must include a religious modifier that immediately precedes, or is included within, any of the following degrees: Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Master of Arts, Master of Science, Doctor of Philosophy, and Doctor of Education. The religious modifier must be placed on the title line of the degree, on the transcript, and whenever the title of the degree appears in official school documents or publications.

4.  The duration of all degree programs offered by the institution is consistent with the standards of the commission.

5.  The institution's consumer practices are consistent with those required by s. 1005.04.

The commission may provide such a religious institution a letter stating that the institution has met the requirements of state law and is not subject to governmental oversight.

Application for Admission

Accreditation

Accreditation of any college, school or university is strictly voluntary. The Universtiy of Holistic Theology is an incorporated religious non-profit organization and a non-secular school. Theology, like religion, is recognized and protected under the first amendment of the United States Constitution, which guarantees any citizen the right to practice and to teach it to others. This is the essence of our type of degree.

NoticeLicenses and Credentials The University of Holistic Theology degree programs are not designed to meet any particular local, state or national licensing or credentialing laws, nor to meet any requirements established by any private independent associations. Our school is in complete compliance with the Florida Departement of Education regarding Religious Colleges and Universitys as stated in Fl. Statute 1005. If you are seeking a degree for licensing purposes, the Universtiy urges you to check with that association, state, or specific school district to determine if a degree from our institution is acceptable

On the day that you enroll in a degree program, you may legitimately add an important line to your resume, such as "Ph.D., University of Holistic Theology (expected graduation Sept  2008)

  an animating or vital principle held to give life to physical organisms, the immaterial intelligent or sentient part of a person

• Soul
  the immaterial essence, animating principle, or actuating cause of an individual life, the spiritual principle embodied in human beings, all rational and spiritual beings, or the universe 

• Mind
  the element or complex of elements in an individual that feels, perceives, thinks, wills, and especially reasons, the conscious mental events and capabilities in an organism, the organized conscious and unconscious adaptive mental activity of an organism

• Holistic
  relating to or concerned with wholes or with complete systems rather than with the analysis of, treatment of, or dissection into parts (holistic medicine attempts to treat both the mind and the body)
