We are taking innovation in curriculum design one step further! We offer Fast Track accelerated programs for student wishing to earn their degree without mandates of courses not related to the major of the program. All of our required courses are directly related to the major area of study and concentration. Our degree programs are affordable, precise, concentrated, and provide students the opportunity to work at their own pace and to accelerate their programs, if desired. Degree Term
All programs at University of Holistic Theology have specific completion requirements, students have the flexibility to work at their own pace and complete course work on an individualized basis. This method of study permits student to accelerate or extend the term in which their program is completed.
Program Average Term
Certificate Programs 8-12 months
Interfaith Ministerial Studies Program 12-16 months
Bachelor Programs 16-24 months
Masters Programs 12-16 months
Ph.D. Programs 16-24 months
Grading System
University grades each student on an "A" through "F" basis. The University’s goal is that every student learns as much as possible on each topic and passes each course. The student is give the opportunity to correct any missed questions.
Failure - is equivalent to a letter grade of an "F." After at least three submissions of correction, if in the opinion of the course instructor, the student appears unable or unwilling to complete the course assignment satisfactorily a grade of "F" or Failure will be given.
Pass - is equivalent to a letter grade of a "B" or "C." A grade of "B" or "C" is awarded when the student has completed the course requirements to the satisfaction of the course instructor. This means that all of the following which are relevant to the work being evaluated are met at a level appropriate to the degree:
• Adequate review of relevant literature including accurate and appropriate references, footnotes, and bibliography.
• Adequate conceptualizations of the topic, including context and relevant issues.
• Clear and appropriate methodology.
• Appropriate sequencing and division into sections in the organization of the study.
• Clear and accurate writing, including the use of logical sequences in the presentation from beginning to end.
• Careful definition and use of variables; relevant and accurate use of information and statistics, if applicable.
• Proper drawing of inferences and generalizing from specifics.
• B = a score of between 80-89 on objective tests.
• C = a score of between 70-79 on objective tests.
Pass with Distinction - is equivalent to a letter grade of "A." A grade of "A" is awarded if, in the opinion of the course instructor, the student’s work in a course is exemplary. The following criteria are met at a level appropriate to the degree:
• Thorough use of references, footnotes, and bibliography.
• Clear and concise abstract conceptualizations of the problem, including context, key variables, and critical issues.
• Methodology based on documented principles of research including relevant statistics.
• Thorough and appropriate organization.
• Superior critical analysis of key variables and relevant issues, including synthesis.
• Clear sequential logic and accurate use of written language.
• Inclusion of personal information related to the topic.
• Information that is over and above the required answers on a test (completion of the optional assignments).
• A score of between 90-100 on objective tests.
Student Records
All student records in the possession of the university are confidential. Student records are the property of University of Holistic Theology and will not be released to a third party unless a written request is submitted by the student.
Graduation Requirements
Graduation is achieved when all courses of study prescribed by the University are satisfactorily completed. Graduation may occur at any time, if the student has completed study requirements, and met all financial obligations.
Academic/Financial Suspension
Students are required to submit lessons on a continuing basis to remain in good standing. The University of Holistic Theology reserves the right to suspend or terminate a student from a degree program for falsification of course work or records submitted for review and/or academic credit or failure to maintain tuition payments. If terminated, students must re-apply for admission under the policies and terms of the current catalog.
Program Extension
Degree programs have been designed with the adult learner in mind. In the event that the student is unable to complete their degree program in a reasonable time, he/she may request an extension. If the student needs to discontinue their course work for a long period of time (more than 90 days), they will be required to pay a $50 reinstatement fee and will be subject to policies and terms of the current catalog.
Academic Dismissal
Students who consistently demonstrate low achievement in their course work will be placed on academic probation that may lead to academic dismissal.
